Gabinete de Urbanização do Ultramar (GUU) was the Portuguese government office responsible for construction and urban planning in the Portuguese colonies in Asia and Africa. Founded in 1944, as the Gabinete de Urbanização Colonial, it was renamed as the Gabinete de Urbanização do Ultramar in 1951. In 1957 it took on the name of Planning and Housing Services Directorate (Direcção de Serviços de Urbanismo e Habitação), operating within the Overseas Ministry Public Works Department until 1974.
