Susan is a graduate of the AA Diploma programme. She has been teaching History and Theory Studies at the AA since 2014, and is currently pursuing doctoral research on the cultural and intellectual history of modernism during the 19th century at the University of Oxford. Susan has been working with the AS Forum of Contemporary Architectural Theories since 2009 and teaches design at Southeast University in Nanjing. Prior to starting postgraduate research, Susan worked on two visual research projects supported the Royal College of Art in London and CAFA Beijing, and was developing texts concerning translation in architectural discourse with the late Mark Cousins. Susan was an associate partner at PLP Architecture and currently practices as an architect in Canada and the UK.
