Michela is a London-based art director and graphic designer. She runs her independent practice and works as a design writer, researcher and lecturer. Specialising in design for publishing, her practice engages with creative figures in art, architecture, design and fashion through conversations to challenge the outcomes of communication, art direction and branding, as well as editorial design. Michela is an associate lecturer at Central Saint Martins, tutoring on the BA and MA graphic communication design courses, and leads the AA Media Studies course Graphic Design: The Architecture of the Book. Michela writes monthly for the platform Fontstand News, where she explores contemporary design culture and practices.
