Francesco is an architect, teacher and researcher. He teaches Intermediate 1, is a History and Theory Studies lecturer, and teaches a writing seminar for Housing and Urbanism. He has taught at Central Saint Martins, the University of Greenwich, the Leeds School of Architecture, Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Cagliari. In 2009, he cofounded urbanaarchitettura with Sabrina Puddu. Francesco was visiting research scholar at GSAPP, Columbia University. His research tackles the relations between architecture, education and the city. He has written on post-war Italian urbanism and architecture, space and higher education, and architectural pedagogy, and is currently studying the domesticity of student life and student housing cooperatives. He is author of The University as a Settlement Principle (2019).
