
Edward is Head of Archives and a Tutor within the AA’s History and Theory Studies and Professional Practice programmes. He studied history at the University of Exeter and gained a Master’s at the University of East Anglia, together with postgraduate archival qualifications at the University of Wales. Alongside championing the AA Archives, his recent publications include work on early histories of women students, art collecting, portraiture, architectural museums and the history of architectural education. He also teaches a course in architecture and archival science at Southeast University in Nanjing. His current research activities include a Graham Foundation funded project investigating the entangled histories of the AA’s Department of Tropical Studies.
