Doreen is an architect and theorist trained at the University of Cambridge and at the AA. She is currently the Executive Editor of The Journal of Architecture, Head of AA Visiting School (AAVS) Urbanity from the Ocean, Honorary Secretary of the Society of Architectural Historian Great Britain and a cofounder of research collectives This Thing Called Theory, Translocality and Interjectures. She is currently a Director of Studies in the AA PhD programme, a Lecturer in History and Theory Studies and teaches across postgraduate programmes at the school. She was a founder-director of the interdisciplinary platform DEZACT, led the AAVS Uncommon Walks: Pedestric Radicals programme and co-led the MArch Cinematic Commons course at Leeds School of Architecture.
